Of course Whistler is part of Strength in Numbers – it might even be the strongest example of a pure mountain bike community. Like a die-hard surfers living close to the beach, passion-driven riders from all over the world are building a bike-based community around the world famous Whistler Mountain Bike Park.

Presented through the eyes of local rider Adam Billinghurst, the Whistler segment will make you understand the passion and feel of this almost mystic place. Working all winter so he can ride all summer, Billinghurst is a purest – riding only for the love of the sport. Adam’s outlook is simple, “My future involves more biking, some ups, some downs, then death”. The segment also features appearances from Whistler’s own FMB World Tour champ Brandon Semenuk, DH racers Chris Kovarik and Claire Buchar, and 9-year old phenom Finn Finestone.

“Where The Trail Ends” was crafted over three years with the most advanced filmmaking and sound equipment ever used in this genre. The film immerses viewers in an extraordinary chronicle of exploration, chaos and culture, set amongst some of the globe’s most harrowing and remote natural landscapes. Inspired by Red Bull Media House’s extraordinary “The Art of FLIGHT” snowboarding documentary, this is the soul and science of exploration as defined by two wheels. “The experience of making the film is something viewers will see first-hand. It’s the story of what it took to get there. And what it was like to experience the ultimate ride,” says rider Darren Berrecloth, considered one of the world’s preeminent free riders. “We went into regions almost entirely unknown. And we often never knew whether we’d succeed or fail, or worse.”

Veterans of Freeride’s heralded 10-year New World Disorder film series, athletes and production crews were left physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted after the film’s expeditions to dispatches amongst the Andean foothills of Salta, Argentina, China’s Gobi Desert, Nepal’s near-secret Mustang region, the towering shorelines of British Columbia’s Fraser River and Virgin, Utah – big mountain freeriding’s punishing proving grounds and birthplace. Freeride’s crews created the project’s remarkably compelling tone, footage and narrative using the highest performance tools in film as well as an array of transportation and perspectives, from jet boats, helicopters and fixed wing aircraft, to the riders themselves. When BMX riding consumes your day-to-day life, I guess it’s inevitable to have a crazy dream once in a while. World class freestyle BMX rider Michael “Berry” Beran reveals his toughest tricks through a high-quality visual concept. This creative scenario showcases some of the crazy ideas and maneuvers that Beran has up his sleeve.

First edition of Red Bull Skate Arcade saw Gianmarco Pala as the overall winner. After the online challenge, where more than 700 skaters joined the competition, only 15 gained a place to the final episode that took place last Saturday at the Railway Skatepark in Brescia.

Gianmarco deserved the first place after an incredible online result of 37.988 points and the maximun amount of lives (12), and then dominating the street challenge in Brescia. Second and third place to Michele Salini and Francesco Marconato.

The main prize included a skate trip to California, having a chance to skate the most famous spots – like Ryan Sheckler private skatepark – and joining several pro skaters.
