Steve Peat, along with Brook Macdonald and Wyn Masters, are out at the X-BikingChiangMai Dh Challenge.

An awesome local event, with over 100 entries, with people travelling from all over the world to take part.
A flat out track, with a rad step-up halfway down, kept everyone entertained and the Thai crowd didn’t disappoint.
Steve took 1st place, with Brook in 2nd come finals. But the main event was the long jump contest, won by a local Thai kid, who sent it bigger than E.T.

    • Over 20.000 spectators rushed in Val di Sole for the final stop of the 2011 Uci World Cup. Aaron Gwin, who had already been claimed world champhion after the race in la Bresse, won again in Italy, proving that he’s really unbeatable this year. He finished his run with an astonishing time of 3mins and 10 seconds, more than 1.2 seconds over the the second on the podium Danny Hart, and over 41 km/h average speed. Gee Atherton from UK, the 2008 World Champion in Val di Sole, jumped on the third step of the podium.

    Tracy Moseley drove quite cautiously, especially in the third section of the course, and finished 5th. The last race of the 2011 World Cup season has been won by French national champion Myriam Nicole, ahead of countrywoman Floriane Pugin and Rachel Atherton, UK. Anyway, Moseley earned enough points to grab her second world cup title in career (the first was in 2006).
    Among the Juniors Troy Brosnan, Australia, and Manon Carpenter, UK, won the overall standings.

    • Congrats to Aaron Gwin for having won the fourth stop of the Uci DH world cup in Mont-Sainte-Anne venue in Quebec, Canada. Neither this time the wheater has been clement, and the best riders of the world had to struggle on a pretty muddy terrain, on a track that is one of the most technical, long and tough courses in the circuit. Second on the podium has been Josh Bryceland and third MacDonald. Greg Minnaar, Aaron Gwin’s main rival, won the qualifiers but fell in the wood and ended the race in 18th position.
