The seventeen years old Gabriel Medina (BRA) newcomer to the elite ASP Top 34 after the September’s rotation, has secured his maiden ASP World Title victory today, winning the Quiksilver Pro France over Julian Wilson (AUS), 22, at La Graviere.
“This is the best feeling ever,” Medina said.
Kelly Slater was ousted in Quarterfinals by an on-fire Medina. The iconic Floridian had some trouble in the shifting morning conditions, while the young Brazilian dominated on both his forehand and backhand.
