Updating on Evan Division

… if I had to compare Evan Division to a movie, I’d surely consider ‘Revenge of the Nerds’, 1984. We’re just like them, a group of people that is not taken into consideration in Italy. We practice sports that aren’t interesting from an economic point of view (longskate, skimboard, surf), and we’re kind of an ethnic minority 
Now some months have passed since we created the Evan team and we wanna take a look back to the results we achieved in the meantime.
In April we published on Facebook our very first pictures and the team was composed by three of us (Danilo Pianese, Gabriele Monaco and Andrea Salzano). We just had fun with our boards, throwing ourselves down steep descents, without knowing what was going to happen next.
We thought it would have been just a hobby, and that nobody would have ever cared about what we’re doing. But we were wrong, and soon after we were already supported by YP ITALY (clothing), TURTLE SURF SHOP Andora (clothing and apparel) and KALI PROTECTIVES (full face helmets)
During the following four months we saw an exponential growth, thanks both to our great commitment and to all the advices we received from other skaters and friends.
We met some already existing teams like Longskate Arbus and we saw the birth of new teams like PigZilla Team from Genoa. This is really positive, cause it means there are a lot of people ready to plunge into a completely new sport.
So we can say we’re completely satisfied, and our team looks more and more like a big family. Two new member entered the group, Luca Quaglia and the young Edoardo Reina.
Everyone can see our achievements, and we can count -thanks to Paolo Colombini- on brands like DVS SHOES, MATIX CLOTHING and LAKAY LIMITED FOOTWEAR distributed by FRESCO DISTRIBUTION and sold by Turtle Surf Shop.
We’re the first Italian team that can count on the support of some of the best brands on the market, even if we don’t have competitive aims.
In fact our aim is promoting what we love..we do it for passion and we’re halfway between the amateurs and the pros, opening a new door to all those who-just like us- will never practice this sport as a job.
