The 26TRIX fueled by Monster Energy is gettin’ closer
May 18th, 2011 by admin received Comments Off TweetThe Out of Bounds Festival is coming closer with gigantic steps and that means it is almost time for the 26TRIX fueled by Monster Energy from June 16th to 18th. This year, the nothing short of legendary Dirt Jump contest once again receives Gold status within the Freeride Mountain Bike World Tour and is sure to attract the best riders from all over the world to the Bikepark Leogang where they can collect valuable points for the overall World Tour ranking. For this year’s contest, the course is getting a complete overhaul.

Already last year, the biggest stars of the mountain bike scene met in Saalfelden Leogang at the Out of Bounds Festival for the numerous bike highlights. At the dirt contest it was no different and this year you can assume that for the first gold event of the FMB World Tour 2011 the absolute dirt elite will show what they’ve got at the Bikepark Leogang. Several riders have already confirmed their participation. Just to mention a few: last year’s winner of the FMB World Tour Cameron Zink (USA), Martin Söderström (SWE) and local hero Niki Leitner (AUT) are all getting ready for Leogang.
To guarantee all participants and spectators the best possible safety while not neglecting biking fun, the course is being completely remodeled for this year’s 26TRIX fueled by Monster Energy. For one, the landing areas will no longer contain any cement. Instead, soft earth will act as the perfect ground to absorb any crashes.

This year, a new main sponsor supports the event and the dirt jump contest has found a strong partner in Monster Energy. The company does not limit its support to the contest but “The Alps After Party” is now also “fueled by Monster Energy”. Joe Parsons, Marketing Director Central & Eastern Europe for Monster Energy Drinks says: “We are super stoked to be part of this great event here in Austria. The 26TRIX represents our brand and shows the community that we are here to support the sport.”
Next to the 26TRIX fueled by Monster Energy, the Out of Bounds Festival offers many other highlights and has really grown into something bigger. One appointment you should definitely not miss is the performance by Polarkreis 18 on Saturday night (June 11th). Next to the UCI World Cup on the first Out of Bounds Festival Weekend (June 10th to 12th), a race of the European Fourcross Series (June 17th to 18th), the Austrian Fourcross Championships (June 17th to 18th) and the iXS European Downhill Cup (June 18th to 19th) will be sure to keep any biker’s heart beating fast. Great atmosphere and a lot of fun are guaranteed at the Bunnyhop Contest and the following BBQ at the B3 (Friday, June 17th). Anyone who still has it in them to party hard after so much biking action is cordially invited to celebrate with the riders at “The Alps Party fueled by Monster Energy” after the 26TRIX finals (Saturday, June 18th).
