Sestri Bowl Session
July 30th, 2010 by admin received Comments Off TweetWhile almost all of you guys were probably spending your weekends chillin’ on the local beaches, tryin’ to cheat girls while drinkin frozen mojito’s, there was a dirty crew of skateboarders that were putting down some serious action even in the hottest hour. We met them in Sestri near Genoa at the local street skate park, a really nice concrete spot including a bowl and a street area.
I’ve to say when I reached the spot for the first time a couple of weeks ago, the feeling was quite epic. The park is so 60’s with this blue bowl shaped like an empty pool that I just expected to see someone of the Z-Boys droppin’ in in a moment. Surely it’s a step beyond from other street areas we’re used to see in the surrounding.
Locals are handsome and there is a quite pleasant mix of gravity-defying sports aside from skateboarding, some bikers and rollerbladers. Even if with different approaches the living seems pretty peaceful.
Introduced by Andrea we get in touch with some of the locals skatenerds. The guys were great and was pretty easy to end up in the evening with a nice portfolio of shots. Thx to Andrea Valle, Alex Cageggi, Mathias Meloni, Apu Hampe, and all the guys we met there.
The spot includes:
-
A bowl
-
Stairs set up
-
Some handrails of various size
-
Ledges and concrete obstacles
So…see ya there, and stay focused on the kids for more on the site soon!
